Not necessarily MS-related

Hi, I am an active 27 year old female, and a couple of weeks ago I started to notice a tingling sensation in my left hand. It did not last long at all, maybe a day or two.

The same tingling sensation started to occur along my inner elbow area, and the only way I can describe the sensation is it felt as though my veins were "catching" on something. (Strange, I know, but having suffered with anorexia for a few years, it was not an unusual feeling.)

Now, the back of my upper left arm is slightly tender to the touch (not terribly painful) but the skin in that area is also numb.

Have had a few headaches lately, which are rare for me. Other than  that, no obvious symptoms. (A quick Google search mentioned MS, which is why I am posting here.)

I have not injured this arm and have been racking my brain to figure out what it could be, to no avail. Anyone have an idea as to what this could be?

Thank you for any and all help!

Hi and welcome,

Unfortunately eating disorders such as anorexia effects the entire body, including the brain and nervous systems. What you are experiencing could be due to your anorexia, as it can cause peripheral neuropathy, vitamin B12 deficientcy etc so it would be worth discussing this with your doctor.

Cheers..........JJ

I am sorry for your troubles. Honestly it does not sound like MS. Only having problems with MS I do not have a clue.
