Now I know why...

...two separate MRIs....  thank God they scheduled me that way!

I am sooooo sore from lying there for nearly 2 hours!  I couln't even get off the table myself, and even with assistance the back pain brought me to tears. Any hints to help me out?  Or do I just need to tuff it out again?  I did it without meds or a blindfold and they said I did a great job minus a few retakes because of some involuntary twitching.  No use with the music though, can't even hear it over the clunking and buzzing, although I can't imagine how loud it would be without the headphones!  So, really, not looking forward to the second on Thursday....but I am halfway there!

*yippee*

Thank you all for your encouragement and advice!!!

Hi, I'm glad to see see you've really joined our group!  It helps me if they put a folded towel in the small of my back and raise my knees with their foam knee pillow.  Also I recommend a valium to keep things more relaxed.  If you have smething for spasticity or for muscle relaxation, like Flexeril, you can use that.  Also pretreat with some ibuprofen to hold off the pain.

Good Luck!  Quix

Yes, Valium is good and does help relax you, but I find the noise horrendous. I didn't get headphones or earplugs. I did get the knee pillow and that helps. One done, one to go!
