I don't actually think 'numb' would be the correct label if you feel 'everything', usually 'numb' is the label used when there is a loss of sensation, and when there's no feeling at all.
When you disrupt circulation in a limb like sitting cross legged for example, when you try to stand or walk you'll become aware you have 'no feeling' in at least one lower limb and this is numb........the pins and needles sensation that soon starts happening, is basically the nerves and normal blood flow returning.

Thanks for your response! I had this happen a little over 2 years ago and a neurologist sent me for a brain MRI with and without contrast and also did an EMG and everything was normal. Eventually the numb feeling went away but came back about a month ago. Although I don't even know if "numb" is the right word being that I can feel everything!
Hi and welcome,
It's less likely to be a neurological condition like MS, if what your saying is that despite this altered sensation that you are experiencing, your neurological clinical signs are 'not' abnormal. With this sensory feeling on one side your, sensory pin pr ick responses would be expected to reflect that one side was normal and the other not. hope that makes sense
Cheers........JJ
This doesn't sound like possible MS?
Then it probably is not neurological. A doctor can tell just where in the Central Nervous System there is damage from a neurological exam they are as accurate as a MRI.

I've had the neuro exam and it was normal.
You can go to your doctor and ask for a neurological exam. If it is neurological they can send you to a neurologist.
