OT what a day

OT what a day

My day started with hearing my husband screams some bad words. I figured the Fury Fiend, Puppy Beast was the cause. I sprang out of bed. My husband was in the backyard looking for something. I was in my pajamas on my hands and knees looking under all the out buildings and deck. In the minute my husband went to brush his teeth the puppy monster had grabbed a DVD off the table (one my husband was returning to a friend). We have looked all day and never found it. We have a fenced yard.

I went riding which was great. I do better each time. I had to trot and post first with out stirrups then without hands. No line steering the horse with my legs.

I came home and put my wallet up high. Both my husband and I never left the room. The fury fiend strikes again with perfect stealth. Ten minutes later my husband notices first money outside then we find my wallet minus my driver's license and Service Dog I.D.s. That area of the wallet has teeth marks. I in vision the conversation with DMV and and DHHS. My Service Dog in training ate the I.D.'s for him and Polly? I looked and looked and finally found all the contents of my wallet all unharmed.

We have a new saying at my house  "Puppy Happens". But you look at that adorable face. Will this beast ever really settle down to be a Polly Service Dog?

LOL Alex. Thanks for the visual and the laugh!

Yes, as with all things, puppies grow into well behaved dogs.

dogs will be dogs and puppies even more so. yes, the face is adorable. I can just see going to DMV and and DHHS saying my dog ate it. LOL I wouldn't be able to without laughing.

Your riding sounds fun and challenging. got to thinking of all the muscles that have to be used in riding. guess i just finally got it in my head how helpful that would be in more then an enjoyable thing and help with balance. so glad you get to do that!

Sorry HVAC but your post brings me to laugh...lol...So much like a puppy...naughty little thing...That little puppy monster is gonna be a wonderful service dog.  I guess it is like having a two year old running around the house.  Parents wonder too if they are raising little monsters...lol...

Enjoy him.  Soon he will be all grown up and you will wish to see that playful ball of fur.

Hugs,
Sumana

I know the feeling.  My 7 month (next week) puppy monster is about 75 lbs and in one of his fear stages.  He does fine in public and crowds until someone approaches him.  Then he runs behind me for "protection."  He has no idea that he is huge.

His training has proven to be good exercise for me.  The trainers keep telling me to be patient and he will grow out of it.

that was a great story, and you told it so well. It made me laugh for the first time today !! I love dogs, they all have such different personalities.

My shih tzu  was probably the cause of his own demise, he thought he was a big dog..Super Dog, he had no fear.

have fun..meg
