Does anyone,   Quix,    Know what Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies and Thyroglubin antibodies tell you?

I was trying to read up and research but nothing is telling me what I want to know. Like, spelling it out for a stupid person to understand.

Anyone? Help?

Hey Gal,

We do have a couple here who are very versed in thyroid and I'm just trying to remember their names! Drain Bamage is kicking in BIGTIME!

Anyone else remember who are our thyroid experts?

In a nutshell, if you have those thyroid antibodies at an elevated level, then you have autoimmune thyroid disease. also known as Hashimotos Thyroiditis.  Your immune system is causing the thyroid to be destroyed.

You can have thyroid antibodies, and a normal TSH if it is caught early.  Did you have a TSH drawn too??
