Painful inner thighs

by skarey, Apr 01, 2009 11:40AM
Quix, and whomever can help,
Since I've been having sx this "episode"  I've been having occasional painful, achy inner thighs (both legs).  It is almost like the pain is radiating from my groin (maybe).   I was concerned because I know that we have lymph nodes in the groin and I am worried that this pain may be lymph node related?  What could cause my inner thighs to hurt?  Could it be caused from lymph nodes?  I don't see or feel anything abnormal there, but it can be quite uncomfortable.  Any explanation or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
  Thanks!

I was wondering if your pain is radiating up to your groin area or downward?

I hope someone can help you                              Linda

I can't really tell which way it is radiating.  It is just there.  Very uncomfortable.  This morning it feels better, but I'm sure it'll be back.  It always does.
I don't know what it is?  I'm being tested for Lymes... could that be a sx of lymes maybe??
  Thanks!

Try doing some lunges, not too deep, and press your pelvis forward rather than bending forward. If you feel a hard pull and a pain next to your pubic bone on the bent forward leg side, it might just be a tight or stiffened up iliopsoas muscle. I suffer from MS and fibromyalgia and sit too much so I get this problem frequently unless I stretch twice a day especially this area.

Just a thought.

If I am understanding you correctly, it sounds a bit like what I have experience.  My pain gets to a point where my thighs feel on the verge of a muscle spasm.  Sometimes they will actually spasm which is VERY painful,  but sometimes they just tighten up and hurt and make walking difficult.  My Neuro said this is common and offered some Baclofen, but I declined because she said it might make me tired.  I have enough of that already :)
Blessings,
Sally
