Evaluation of the supratentorial portion of brain demonstrates small focal hyperintensities on Flair and T2-weighted images in the frontal cortex and subcortical white matter bilaterally that may represent demyelinating plaques,viral process or unidentified bright objects.no intra-axial masses noted.the ventricals are normal in size and in midline position.the vascular structure normal.no abnormalities in temporal lobes or cavernous sinus.Evaluation of brainstem,cerebellum and cervicomedullaryjunction normal.The cerellopontine angles and interna auditory canals appear normal.No abnormal enhancement after administration of contrast.
IMPRESSION:
Multiple focal hypersensities on flair and T2-weighted images in the frontal cortex and subcortical white matter bilaterally that may represent demyelinating plaques ,viral process or unidentified bright objects....
It sounds like you need to go to a neurologist with this MRI and the report from the radiologist. With your focal hyperintensities on the white matter, MS is definitely indicated.
One of my first symptoms that made me suspect MS was the dizziness and vertigo. Then I began to notice extreme numbness and tingling. It turned out that I had a lesion in my cerebellum causing my worst symptoms.
The next step is to see the neurologist, who will evaluate your symptoms and MRI results. He will most likely schedule you for a spinal tap to draw fluid to have it evaluated for antibodies. Oligoclonal banding indicates that your blood-brain barrier has been breached, which is one of the signs of MS.
