Question about Lyrica

I am wondering what the high end dose of Lyrica is.  I am on 200mg 2x a day.  I think that is pretty high but my shocks in my feet are hurting more and more and I am weighing the idea of side effects vs pain.

I am going to do other things first like remember to take my B12, I was just curious how close I am to the max dose.

I went up to 2700 mg a day on neurontnin before my neuro changed me. I know 3600mg is the max, but my neuro feels that neruontnin doesn't really increase in effectiveness as you increase dosage to that level.  The side effects increase more than the pain relief he said so I switched.

Thanks
D

i was up to 600 mg a day last year but came off due to weight gain and stopped working plus really effected my moods. the higher you go up i find that it stops being so much a drug that made me sleepy to almost a stimulant.

I have actually lost 3 lbs since I upped from 150 to 200 mg 2x daily.  Wierd I know cuz my neuro keeps asking me about my appetite.
My eye issues are a bit more wacky these days.  Not sure if it is from the Lyrica.  I am going to the opthomologist Jan 6.

My neuro said Lyrica may cause eye issues, but I need to decide what is worse the nerve pain or the eye issues before I try to lower my dose.  We are taking a "See what the eye Dr says" approach.

I have not found a "take this before bed" pill that does not make me feel like crap in the am.  Let me know if you like the amitriptyline.

I was at 3600mg/day of Neurontin without remarkable effect, and recently switched to Lyrica like you.

I'm doing 150mg 2x per day, morning and before bed.  It's ok, the discomfort waxes and wanes, sometimes in relation to overexertion, fatigue, stress, time of day, etc.  sometimes it just seems to randomly worsen or randomly improve with no obvious reason why.

I'm also taking 75mg amitriptyline before bed.  I'm not sure if it's helping at all.  I'm going to gradually decrease this to see if I am getting any benefit.

I'm considering trying 200mg 2x per day of the Lyrica.  I'm concerend about its effect on my appetite though, it seems to make me ravenous like Neurontin never did.  Does this bother you?  Do you have any other side effects from it that really bother you?

The official prescribing info states that the max dose for treating Neuropathic Pain, Post Herpetic Neuralgia, and Partial Complex Seizures is 600mg per day.

The Max approved dose for Fibromyalgia is 450 mg per day total.

Having never used this or prescribed it, that's all I know.
