Don't push yourself too hard. You just had major surgery. Please make sure you get enough rest. At least it sounds like you're feeling better.
Hugs,
Ren
Hey Alex, over here across the pond I've been thinking of you. I like your hammer analogy and might just employ it myself. Hit my right hand so I stop moaning and bltching about the left one for a change. Thank you for still making us all smile even with all you're facing right now.
I am actually up and around. I was out most of the day today. I will go out and see Clara before my Chemo starts.
Hey, Alex,
I've been AWOL, too. I love that you're still sharp witted and humorous after all you've been through. I've been sending good thoughts daily, and continue to do so.
Maybe once you're a little more settled at home, someone can bring Clara around so you can pet her, and she can nuzzle you. Just a thought...
Keep up the good work!
Came on the forum just to check in on you, Alex. Good heavens, girl, you've been through a lot. I am happy to see your sense of humor is intact!
I'll be thinking of you. Get well soon!
Hugs,
Deb
ROFL i should of known thats what you were talking about [insert slapping forhead] though it might be a tad out there but if thats what you wanna do, then you go girl!
When I am bald i am going to paint my head like one of my paintings, lots of color.
Hi Alex,
wanted to let you know you are in my thoughts! So good to see your post!
Big hus! You are a true inspiration of Courage and Hope
Jibs
Okaaaaay, if you feel you should, you could probably get away with just about anything you want, so what colour are you thinking would suit your hair style? lol why paint your face exactly lol i'm really scratching my head here?!
err is this another US vs OZ translation hick up, in OZ a hobbie horse is a stuffed toy horses head on a stick, usually the stick goes between the childs legs and they pretend to be riding a horse, um no paint anywhere so its gotta be a translation hick up lol
Huggs.......JJ
ps a bit of gaffa tape and our version of a hobbie horse will look cool on an iv pole, i can see you now, trotting around the ward lol
Hey I like the hobby horse idea. May be I will paint my head too what do you think?
"I have less than a month to get my red blood cells up which are in the toilet so they can pump me with poison." Well sh!t, this reality thing surely su_cks big time!
Pity they dont do IV chocolate, wont do much for the blood count but we're always telling people to have some chocolate when things su_ck, anythings got to be better than jello and broth so maybe worth asking for it ;o)
HUGS............JJ
PS i've got a hobbie horse lined up for you, you can attatch it to your iv pole
You're doing so good at fighting this thing Alex! Keep trucking along! You have all of us supporting you along the way.
It's wonderful to see you posting on here. I hope you can get much more sleep and feel much much better very very soon!!!
Big gentle hugs
Sandy
Hey Girl!
I can't believe that you have been going through all of this honey! I haven't been on here much lately but I don't usually miss something like this!
So sorry that you have to deal with this along with the MS but hey, MS isn't for wimps so I figure that's why you were thrown this sidewinder. You are one strong human being and I am sure you will come through this fine.
I want to let you know that I will be thinking of you and I hope you are feeling more yourself really soon!
Lots and Lots of Hugs,
Rena
It's so good to hear from you. You've ALWAYS been inspirational to me, and you still are. Nothing but the most positive thoughts coming your way!
Laura
I think a coin operated horse would make me barf at this point. Now the goal is eating and getting the bowels right. I have less than a month to get my red blood cells up which are in the toilet so they can pump me with poison.
Also heal. Barfing with this incision is not fun. I did my first day in the hospital.
The good news is I do not care that I have MS these days. I guess it is like when one hand hurts you hit the other with a hammer.
Alex, mum got to 70 before getting any body art, she went for a colonoscapy (sp) and woke up with a zipper, she's still not impressed!
aggh about the riding, tad tooooo soon me thinks, maybe next week lol and you might want to try a coin operated horse first ;o)
HUGS..........JJ
You are amazingly resilient. Great to hear you can have a laugh at what is undoubtedly a very tough time.
Thinking of you and wishing you strength on the road ahead.
Blessings
Alex
keep pushing, Alex. It will come in handy. But don't forget to rest as well. hugs, L
Glad to see you still have your humor intact. That means you are stubborn enough to go ride Clara if it didn't hurt so much.
HUGS!!!!!!
Ren
Yeah right! No... I think Clarabell has to be patient for you a little bit longer :).
Hope you will have a better sleep with that zipper gone!
My best,
Dagun
They took the zipper out today and gave me this truss. I forgot to ask if that means it is okay to ride now. LOL.
Alex
alex
god bless you !!
wishing you a speedy recovery take care
hugs bairdy x
BTW, I don't think anyone needs to hide their zippers. It tells a story. One that you never need to hide. :-)
Hi Alex, I'm glad that you are home now. Oh, wait, are you home, or are you still in the hospital and posting from there?
I hope they can keep your pain under control and of course your breathing. You're one tough cookie. I friend of mine had his colon removed and he's really young - about 5 yrs younger than me. He had to stay in the hospital for quite a while. And speaking of tattoos, he got a new one across his chest to try to hide his new found zipper.
Sending many positive thoughts your way.
Hugs,
Kelly
