Our dear Rendean is going for her 1st Tysabri infusion tomorrow. For those of us who have had to think about it, and for those of you who have had to take this next measure it definitely comes with it's fair share of anxst. Ren is no exclusion.

Ren, dear. I hope you don't mind me putting this up here out loud, but I wanted to give our wonderful forum family here, an opportunity to wrap their arms around you, cheer you on, and help you BELIVE you are doing what you can for now. It's ok :)

Good news Ren.  #1 is behind you and now you can forget about it for three and a half weeks.  Just keep an eye out for those little improvements I expect you'll start noticing.  I hope you saw my note.  I've been thinking about you even though I didn't make it to this page soon enough.

Michelle came out to a forum member lunch immedicatley after infusion #3 and managed to eat fish tacos.  She even made them look good!  Maybe you can fly up and join us by the time you get to #3, eh?

I think Shell misspelled you into a wonderful word and I'm going to use it for my sign-off.

Dear Friends,

Your response to Shell's post was amazing and it eased my nerves, giving me the strength to pull it together and go for that first treatment.

The infusion went fine. I am was so fatigued yesterday  afternoon I slept for 4 hours then my hubby woke me to eat and drink something. I did get a headache but nothing compared to my usual migraine, thank goodness.

I am still tired today but doing okay.

Thank you again for your encouragement and support!! I honestly don't know if I would have had the nerve without your backing.

We talked about the other day so I know you are a bit anxious about the infusion.  I think you will do great and come back and tell us all how easy it was.  I am so hopeful that Tysabri will help you get your life back like gilenya has done for me.  We will compare all the good stuff soon eough.  Do well, be well, and let us all know how it went.

I join everyone else in hoping Tysabri is the answer for you.  It's crazy how many variations of MS there are and how many different approaches might be tried before the right one is found.

Good luck with Tysabri #1!  I hope it will help you like it has helped me.  I go for infusion #36 in a week or so, and so far so good.  Still waiting to hear my JC virus antibody status.  Did they test you for that?  Hopefully the infusions will be as uneventful for you as they are for me.... :-)  Keep us posted and let us know how it goes - PM me if there's any way I can help.
