Referral from My Neuro

I just got back from my appointment with my neuro.

For some reason, I neglected to mention my history of lead poisoning to her, but we discussed it today. She referred both me and my son to Yale New Haven Hospital's Occupational and Environmental Medicine Group and we have an appointment for next Thursday. If I do have lead in my system, this could explain the brain lesions and cognitive problems that can't be explained by degenerative disc disease.

She prescribed Tramadol for pain.

I also asked her OT about a small lump in my mouth below my tongue that I noticed 3 weeks ago. She says that I have to have that checked out. I called my PCP, who is out today, and expect a call from her on Monday.

I'll keep you posted.

Lump under your tongue. I had that when I was on Copaxone it turned out to be my salivary gland. I rinsed with salt water  several times a day and it went away.

Look at my post "Success in medical treatment". I do into detail about the exposure there.

My son and I have appointments at Yale next Thursday.

Sweet dreams,

Audrey.

   Hello,

sounds like your Neuro is very attentive to you. Do you mind if I ask how you got lead poisoning? Was it though paint and living in an older home?

hope your appt to Yale New Haven is soon so you can get some answers.
Have a safe weekend :)
