SSD representative being sympathetic

Hi Everyone!! Things have been pretty hectic for me lately. I had gone through a SSD exam with the ssd doc's the first week of May.
I did not do well especially on the eye exam. I was just getting used to wearing my prism and I was having great difficulty. I think that the nurses that were doing this particular exam on me were rolling their eyes at me when I said that I honest to God could not see the board.
When I close my left eye, I fall over... ,my right eye has the optic nerve damage and the sticker prism is in the right lens of my glasses. If I close the left eye with the glasses on, the prisms make it look really foggy and distorted.
Anyway.... I have already been approved for ssd in Feb. 2010. This past exam was for my one yr. review. Unfortunately they denied me to continue my ssd. Can you believe it!!!???? I am in shock!!! The ssd. doc. could not take her eyes off my left hand tremor, but I was still denied.
I immediately went to my social security office and appealed!!!! The ssd. representative that I sat with, was wonderful. He said to me I would never have thought what you have been dealing with or how sick you are by looking at you.
I gave him a copy of "my story". He listened to me, and he was emotional with me. He felt sooo bad for what I have been through.
I just recieved in the mail a letter from the SSD representative. He said that he just finishes reading and absorbing "MY STORY". (which is in my journal). He wishes me the best of luck and will be thinking of me throughout my journey and health issues. He said it was a pleasure meeting me.
That was the nicest letter I have received from a perfect stranger. He showed interest in me and my life. He also said to me that day, that he is going to send in his thoughts about me and what I presented to him to the hearing judge.

So,, what does everybody think?? Could this kinda be in my favor???
Hope everyone is well.
Pam

Hi Pam I am so sorry that this happened to you I hope that the decision will be in your favor/ I just dont gt how a 5 minute exam results in termination of benifits. I have applied in march and it will be late august or september to hear something I am afraid I will get denied without a diagnosis. You are lucky that you found a compassionate case worker they are very rare these days they just are pencil pushers in my opinion. its nice to hear that people do care and hope that he says something to the judge to get your award

best wishes

Hi Dennis, Thanks so much for replying to me. I have felt soo unlucky and then after meeting with him, I feel like I was meant to meet with him, if you know what I mean.
He was such a pleasant man, and I am praying that whatever he wrote to the judge or whomever he sends his notes to, it helps me keep my ssd.
I can't imagine having to go to work, not without having to ability to even get to a job on my own, as I am not driving because of this double vision. My fatigue becomes unbearable and I have soo many other issues that are just too many list.

Thanks again,
Pam

I suspect that this will be in your favor based on my own experience,

When I first applied for SSDI was was denied. I went to my local SS office to file my appeal and the lady at the office noted in my file how much  trouble I was having with the paper work for the appeal.

It was only about 2-3 weeks later that I got approved for the SSDI and in fact they have never had to go through any review in the over 20 years I have been on it.
