Saw doctor today any thoughts??

Saw my doctor today who said I need a neurologist  based on my MRI so they can rule out causes of my lesions. The neurologist office called me and said that the neurologist looked at my record and doesn't feel I'm having a medical emergency and so wouldn't see me until sept 29. I was just wondering is this good news or is the neurologist just waiting for more time to go by to see what's going to happe?. I'm wondering should I try to get in sooner or just wait?

That is actually a very quick appointment, in particular because it is the summer and there is a good chance the neurologist will be on vacation for a good portion of the time.

I know how hard it is to wait -- my first appointment wasn't for 8 months!

Hi there, I know the waiting time seems long when you want answers but it is normal.

As Alex said even with a diagnosis a lot of us wait months to get in unless it is an emergency and some neuros have a long list of patients.

Hang in there,

They are just looking further in to it. Having an appointment several months out is normal. Neurologists are usually busy. I would not read anything into it. It is just the next step. The GP is being thorough. I have had to wait 8 months for an appointment with the MS diagnosis.
