waiting to hear from VA appt folks for the VEP test(s). this is the last test the MS clinic has ordered (i think), so we are on our way to some dx? in the not to distant future ... i think.

i will say this, a bittersweet (thank goodness) it is to read of others and the bizzare fatigue symptoms we all have. the pain is one hurdle but the fatigue that blindsides me leaves me with little in the way of describing it to a neuro. or at least prior to being here on this list it was.

off to see if i can sleep, boy this is always fun! ;-)

Today I start a subject at University. I'm doing a postgrad degree and this is a workshop course for writing your first yearly proposal. I'm nervous because I have a twitchy/spasmy face that is really obvious and I wonder if people will ask me about it and whether they'll be wondering about it if they don't ask me (of course they will). I wonder if I should just come right out and explain.

Friday is my big talk appt with the neuro. My family will be there and we'll discuss treatment options and I'll probably go on Betaferon. Really ready to start treatment now.

Hi everyone,

As I am undx'd w/MS, I have a rheumatologist appt Friday to (hopefully) help me figure out what is going on inside my body.  I would like to be tested for Lupus, which could help explain the strange itchy rash I get after being in the sun for an extended period of time (and the rash is not a sunburn).

And tomorrow, I get to go to the Dentist!  Oh joy.  But the good thing is is that my teeth will be nice and shiny :)

One more thing...I woke up this morning and discovered my left foot was completely asleep.  My hands have been asleep before when I've woken up, but never my feet.  Definitely something else to mark on my list of symptoms.

Best wishes to all of you for your appts this week!

Can't beat that and don't care to. Today it was 72 with a cool but comfortable breeze..ahh..spring time!

Hope you get your answers on your testng!

Congrats on the 7 consecutive  work out days! You're a better woman than I am! I think a pedicure is order...then you'll only have 'Wilma feet " instead of Fred's

Stay warm!

Hmmmm.....

Work, work and more work...

By Friday, reach my goal for working out seven days in a row.  Been quite a while since I last did that!

Remember to call the lab on Friday if no news by then about my NMO-IgG test.

Maybe try to get in for a massage and even a pedicure if I feel I've earned it, lol.  That could be my reward for the working out.  Plus running is hard on the feet, they are looking a little frightening at the moment.  My "Fred Flintstone feet" as my husband affectionately refers to them.  Nice visual for you.  :)

And lastly, figure out how to STAY WARM!  It went down to minus 41 celsius here last night!  Can any of you beat that?

My week will be the ususal, LOL trying to get the motivatioon to get myself moving.

My brain ad body refuse to cooperate with each other,  Oh how I wish they would get along.

I want to so badly get my house  at least straightened up.  I would be happy with little steps,  even a corner of  one room.   All I can do, is pray, laugh and close my eyes.

I can do that well.   Everyone be well  and enjoy your week                                     Linda

Ess, Your warranty isn't expired, you are just overdue for the 50,000 mile checkup ....

D- I'm not sure which sounds better - the massage or the nap!

PD - big day tomorrow - stay focused and it will be fine.

everyone else- enjoy the appts with neuros, and specialists and mri's. good luck with getting treated effectively and respectfully

For me? Right now I have nothing on the calendar and hope it stays that way. I could use a slow week.

my best,
Lulu

My usual PT on Tues and Thurs.

Friday, ENT regarding esophagus problems. This is such a merry-go-round. From my PCP to a swallowing center for barium tests, now back to ENT, and I'm afraid he's going to send me to a gastro doc. I've had a lot of painful swallowing, which lately has been evolving into more agonizing reflux when things hit bottom.  Well, at least I can consult him (again) regarding vertigo and ask for a VNG test. (Yet another referral?) Will also ask about new tinnitus. Not to mention allergies, which seems to be where I came in.

What a wreck I am. I think my warranty's expired!

Tuesday - Repeat spinal MRI.  They found suspicious lesions in the thoracic spine last month and wanted to recheck to see what they are - MS or something else.

Tuesday, March 10 I have my first Physical Therapy appt.  I am really struggling with brain cognitive skills and can't remember what the actual terminology is for what he will do.  I won't do the PT, just let him look at me to see what my weaknesses are, etc so he can decide what to do.

Also, tomorrow, I will go to my first MS support group meeting.  I'm looking forward to it.

On Thursday, I'm going to drive 7 hours to Nashville, TN. to see my sisters, their daughters and a great nephew who will be two in May.  I'm excited about the visit but so dread the drive.  Weak arms, fatigue and rain just don't mix.

I hope  you all have a blessed week.  Take care!!!

Not much going on this week.
I start PT today for foot drop.
And then again on Wednesday.
I pray it doesn't wear me out to much. I have bible study on
Monday's and Wednesday's.

I am going to slip one in for next week, Monday will be my first visit with the MS specialist. My neuro call him for a consult. He got me in quickly.

Tuesday is my big day; I have my first visit to the MS Center where Lulu's doc is among the five MS specialists.  I might have mentioned that we'd had a small army praying I could get in to see someone who could help solve the puzzle that is me.  A cancellation came up that has me seeing the head of the dept. of neurology, who is said to have an international reputation in MS research.  Just saw a list of his awards, grants, and publications, and am wondering how in the world he has time to see patients.

Prayers precede all of you in your week's efforts.

PT- Monday and Friday
urodynamics Tuesday
SEEP -Wednesday
And a call or vist to the neuro-unscheduled- to deal with this nightime leg pain that is
9-/10 for the past 2 nights. This has got to stop. Perhaps an increase in Lyrica will do the trick. Cannot show up to work in this condition and expect to keep my job......

Hope everyone has a good week.

Nothing!  No appointments until April.  Seems like that a  lot, nothing......then go to hear nothing helpful..........so I guess nothing is my word of the week. LOL
I am hoping both of your visits go well for you, Quix and Nabb......look forward to hearing about them.

I get my first MRI on Tuesday. Hopefully that will point me in the direction of where to go from here. I'm hoping to get referred to the MS clinic here if they want to do more tests. I don't want to go to a Neuro. From the sound of everybody's experience, it seems that a MS specialist would be best.

I have two visits with the Continence Clinic physical therapist.  I'll report what this entails.

Thursday - see my MS Neuro and get results of my routine 3T MRIs and of the OCT.
