Dear LA,
I hope youur feeling better now. Remember on tysabri your immune fighting ability is lowered, keep a close eye on yourself, and if you do not feel better call your doctor.
I do like the massage idea! and a pedi too!
I fisrt went into the infusion center and my heart went out to all the people going in the door realizing many of them are so very sick , some dying.
I did 't think i belonged . I sometimes loose sight of myself or being sick. trying not making a big deal of any my situation. I then was thinkning what the other patientsmust they think and see, this woman , in a wheel chair , does not speekk well and something off a neurologic mess.
I guess i am in the right place:)
They must schedule me on senior d ay because I think I am the youngest one! I have not see anyone under 70ish +. Quickly the barriors are down and keeping talk light of hteir grand children :)
I get worried if i don't see the familiar faces.
My JCantibody test was positive. I see my neuro next mo. and will go over what limits he gives for infuions, but i thought i remember he allows 18(?) with a positive. Since this is pretty new to me (#4 next week) I'll ask some more questions.
The test i joined in is STRATIFY2. I think it is th esecond phase of it.
You do not have to be having tysabri to take part. Biogen is the sponser.
But also, you do not have to join the study to have a JC test.
(i know this was from another thread, sorry if it messes up)
I have valtrex to take this mo. so hoping i do not have a herpes flare from this month.
I had not had a sore iin well over a decade, i am certain they are from the infusions.
take care, amo
Hey that massage idea is a good one!
Glad to hear that you are doing well with the infusions so far! Keep us posted

Hi LA -
You'll have to let me know when you get your results from the blood test, and i'll let you know when I get mine. And I'm right there with you on the weight issue - I am really trying hard to finally get rid of it, but it sure is stubborn, lol.
Rita
I am glad the infusion went well, and you were able to sleep though it. Too bad they don't provide massages as well, or heck, even a pedicure!
Sorry you got the nasty flu bug. Take care of yourself, and feel better.
Michelle
I am wishing you the best and hoping the infusions work well for you.

Hi LA,
Sure hope the infusions serve you well. Very proud of you for moving through this.

p.s. Nice to see you CosmoB
Hi Rita,
I have not heard back about my JC test either. I decided if there was an issue my doctor would let me know.
I do have an appointment coming up next month so maybe he will tell me.
In the meantime I am going to get busy getting some of this weight off!!
LA
Glad to hear that the 2nd infusion went well for you! it's great that you are able to get a nap while you are there, too... ;-) I've never fallen asleep during mine, but I do find it relatively relaxing - it's nice and quiet and peaceful, and I just usually bring something to read. I hope it all continues to go well for you on the Tysabri. I am still waiting to hear the results of my JC antibody test. I'm curious, but it's not driving me crazy - I guess cause I know it's not really going to have a major impact on our treatment decisions at this point.
Sorry to hear that you wound up with the flu - not fun at all! I hope you will feel better soon...
Bye for now,
Rita
