Thanks Quix, I've had the Reactive Arthritis for 4 years now and am used to my sed rate being elevated. One of the nurses I work with commented tonight about one of her patients who has MS and an elevated sed rate. I thought it odd since I thought sed rate had nothing to do with MS. Thanks as always for the great info. Hope things work out for you, I've been down the divorce and br route myself. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger!

Hi, Sue,
The Sed Rate is done looking for mimics for MS like several of the autoimmune diseases. If the Sed Rate is elevated, and yours is (moderately), it points away from MS and toward an autimmune disease. There are people who have both MS and an AI disease, but first doctors try to answer all of a person's problems with one diagnosis.
Also, MS is not associated with inflammatory arthritis.
I can't imagine not doing the C-spine and T-spine at the same time, especially if they used contrast. Sheeesh! Yeah, we wonder...
Good luck with your diagnostic process. It is a drag, no?
