Last night, I went to bed at 8:00, and woke up briefly a few times during the night, and then woke up for good at 6:00, feeling tired and unrested.....
Just wanted to say I too have suffered from that awful fatigue. I have slept 14 hours and got up feeling like I had not slept at all. It too was when I had major symptoms going on. I do now suffer from constant fatigue and still get the extreme fatigue when in a major flare or whatever I have.
I loved the poem. Thank you for posting it.

The Waking
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
I feel my fate in what I cannot fear.
I learn by going where I have to go.
We think by feeling. What is there to know?
I hear my being dance from ear to ear.
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
Of those so close beside me, which are you?
God bless the Ground! I shall walk softly there,
And learn by going where I have to go.
Light takes the Tree; but who can tell us how?
The lowly worm climbs up a winding stair;
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
Great Nature has another thing to do
To you and me, so take the lively air,
And, lovely, learn by going where to go.
This shaking keeps me steady. I should know.
What falls away is always. And is near.
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
I learn by going where I have to go.

Hi there,
When I had my 1st exacerbation rear it's head. I could not stay up. I did not know what was the matter w/me, except that I had all the thinking, chewing, walking, problems, etc.
I would go to work, come home, go to bed and not wake up even once. In the morning, I felt like I never slept. It is horrible fatigue. This lasted as long as the problems did, a little over 3 months.
It did get much better, just took all that time. I suggest you go with it, when you can, if it is an exacerbation. I hope it resolves soon, so you'll know the difference from the daily tiredness, and fatigue MS stuff from the flair up. . .
be well,
SL
