Spasticity

I have a question for you.  A couple of years ago, I had to be taken to the ER because for 3 weeks I had the most horrible nerve pain on the outside thigh.  When it began it felt like a vice grip squeezing.  As it progressed it felt as if my leg muscle had shrunk because as I walked it felt like it was pulling.  MRI of hip showed nothing.  I was sent home with pain med.  While in the MRI and laying on my back, I went into horrible spasms that hurt so badly.  The pain med (Injection) didn't even help the pain.  I fell asleep w/the pain pills but was 100% aware of the most horrendous nerve pain.  I was like a fish out of water flopping in pain and moaning.  I hurt so bad.  For 2 years I couldn't lay flat on my back or I would have pain and my leg would go numb.  I now can lay on my back and not always go numb in the leg.

I do get spasms alot at night.  If  I walk any distance, the front of my legs and my ankles begin to burn and get weak.  It just doesn't seem like a normal exercise fatigue.  Does all of this sound like the muscle thing?  Shoot, now I can't remember the name of it.  Well, this is another fine example of one of my problems.  As I'm sitting here, I'm having some fluttery tingling go down the back of my legs.  It is so weird.

Thanks again for your help!!!!!!!!!
