Stabbing electrical thing?

Stabbing electrical thing?

Now I've had the shooting, buzzing, thrumming pain in my limbs previsouly but I don't know what this new on eis.

It happened about 4 times yesterday and about 6 already for today. It is a sharp electrical stabbing pain in my left side (but it's up and down not side to side) if that makes sense. It lasts one second; I flinch, wince and it's gone.

If it wasn't happening so frequently I would probably ignore it but the last couple of days have been very odd.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but I woke up with eye pain and twitching and ringing in my ear (both left eye and ear as well AND the two last toes on my left foot were painfully numb for about an hour.)

Any insight?

Wish I knew more, but I can certainly offer this:  I would visit your neuro asap and determine if this is an exacerbation.  Quix would know more.

Bumping this up hoping someone else may be able to tell me if this warrants any additional concern...Quix? You there?

If all of these symptoms are happening on the same side and are new, maybe you should give your neuro a call and let him/her know what's going on.   Especially if they last more than 24-48 hours.

I wish you well! Pat :)

Official medical explanation.  It's an MS thing.  A damaged sensory nerve let out a "Yelp".  If it keeps happening, yes, let your neuro know.  My neuro wants to know of all new and persistent sensations or problems that affect your functioning.  Jumping ans wincing in pain, even though the wince is long after the sensation is gone does affect you.  This sensation alone would probably not qualify as an exacerbation, but that call is up to a neurologist.

Let us know what develops.  Quix
