Started on Pro vigil

I know that Provigil today.  It is nice to have good nsurance again.   I hope it will give me some energy again.  Not sure but, I seem to have had more energy to day already after only one pill.  But, that might have been my hopes more than the medication.

Anyone else have a memory of their first dose and energy effects.  How about the first week?

This is kinda strange.  I almost feel like me again.

If it weren't for the spasticity pain.

I was on provigil for a few yrs, then went on nuvigil....when i first went on Provigil,  the difference was immediate and made a huge difference, I could actually get up and move.  It might depend on how much you need it.

I suppose my body got used to it but I also have some different symptoms now, but it still works, just not like the miracle it was at first.  But if I don't take it, I can really tell the difference.

I am so happy for you, fatigue is one of the worse syptoms in my opinion.

Enjoy, meg

My experience so far is best describe the way you described it.  Normal living is not exhausting.

I should mention that Provigil has been prescribed principally for me to treat sleep apnea.  Without it, naps aren't an option.  I'm taken there against my will and sometimes with little to no warning.  I've tried to get through a day without this med.  It's not pretty.

I guess for me the energy was being able to look at doing something and not thinking a nap was a better option.

It seems I have usually had times of clarity of thought.  But, I do remember being able to go a whole day with clarity of thought. I am hoping that will happen sometimes

I've been on Provigil (Nuvigil more recently) for four years now.  I've never really felt increased energy when taking it.  It does keep me awake through the day though and makes thinking seem less of a chore.  I noticed it's effects on day one but it creeps up on you.  I have never been able to pinpoint a moment it "kicks in".  The action is very subtle.

Hi,
I haven't been on Provigil but several on the forum have. Fluffysmom has used it . Hopefully someone who has used it will pop in here and answer your question. You might try sending Fluffysmom a note and see what she can tell you.
