Hi and welcome,

I would suggest that before you even think about medications, you first need to find out and know exactly what is causing your stiff sore legs, otherwise it wouldn't really make sense to take a muscle relaxant for spasticity and it was actually a vascular issue eg varicose.

Non medication, would include stretching exercises, water aerobic, walking, ankle weights, dietary changes eg magnesium etc etc.

There are drugs that deal with spasticity. Baclofen is an example. If your are experiencing extreme stiffness it may be worth mentioning to your doc as you go through the diagnostic process. There is no reason symptoms can't be addressed before a final diagnosis is made. If you do have MS the absence of symptoms should not impede a diagnosis. I was given IV steroids to relieve symptoms while I was being diagnosed.
