It isnt chlorine as I get it when showering with only water, when it rains amd touches my skin, when my hair is wet and drips onto my skin. I have washed only in water just to make sure it isn't any shower gels or shampoos and it always happens. Water urticaria I believe is it's name.
Hope you get your answers soon.
Have you considered that it might not be the water but chlorine in the water? I break out in a rash if I go into a chlorinated pool. So much for the Aqua Therapy for me. :)

Thanks for the info. While it has been annoying only I probably should get it check out since I'm on an immunosuppressant. When I had the allergies acting up constantly I also got a lot of sinus infections. I never thought about the itching could be a sign of the start of a sinus infection as I always got the pain.

Personally I believe the onset ( trigger) for my MS was toxic chemical exposure. The company I was work for had converted a large storage room that were used to store chemical use in processing the optics they made into 2 offices. Both myself and the woman that had the other office went on disability at about the same time and for the same problems. Just seems like too big of a coincidence to me.

I haven't been diagnosed with ms yet but I am under a neuro at the moment and having investigations for ms like symptoms. I am though diagnosed with minieres disease (inner ear problems) I have mild vertigo awful balance and blocked ears all the time, I have terrible itchy ears sometimes all day long. I don't have the runny nose as much but do have other allergy symptoms, I am also allergic to water on my skin.Whenever water touches my skin I come out in hives, it is wierd and I am sure I read somewhere you can get hives with ms, is that right?? anyway just thought I would share, and my thoughts are there could be a link between allergies and neurological diseases.
Hi Dennis
I was bothered by a runny nose for years. When I finally went to see the doc about it, he found I had polyps in my sinusses and sent me to a specialist.
The ear/nose/throat doctor gave me a choice of a minor day surgery to remove them the best he could through my nose, or a more severe, dangerous surgery that sounded too scary to me.....I opted for the minor day surgery, which helped a lot, but may have to be repeated some day.
I used to get a lot of ear infections. Usually I experienced a deep itching in my ear, something like you describe, rather than pain when another infection was setting in, and if I treated it early enough I never got any pain.
I don't think it mattered which way my head was turned, but it's been a couple years since my last one, I can't remember for sure.
I have not had an ear infection since I started treating my MS, although I thought I had one which turned out to be neurological pain...I should have known...no itching.
Just a couple things you might want to look into if you haven't already.
Take care,
Mike
Hi Dennis,
Strange days indeed!
I certainly relate to the allergies as I have had them all my life until a couple of years ago I had desensitising injections for two years straight. They worked a treat because normally I would have the types of symptoms that you describe but also a full on thick head that meant I couldn't think properly.
So, I finished my allergy injections in approx December 10, got the flu shot for only the second time in my life in April 11 and then in the May 11 developed MS. I don't believe anyone has yet proven a link but who knows.
As for the itching in the eardrum, man that has got to suck. I have the crazy itch on my stomach at times throughout the day.
I guess it all makes for one big weird disease. I suppose it could be worse, if we grew an extra leg or maybe a large soft rubbery thing from our foreheads?lol
Sorry, I'm not much help at all, am I.
Blessings
Alex
