Subtle Centrum Semiovale

I recently had an MRI and the findings were.. "subtle centrum semiovale white matter signal changes, early microischemic in nature." What does this mean? The also found a small left maxillary retention cyst or polyp.

Hi Chill,

I didn't find anything I understood well enough to give you any answers to your question, sorry.

I did read where the signal problems are sometimes linked to MS, but since your report stated, "early microischemic in nature", I can't hazard a guess.

I really hope someone who knows more about this will come on here and give you an answer.

Again, glad you're here!  Wish I could have been more help.

I also posted these two messages on your neuology forum post, so you wouldn't miss seeing them.

Hi Chill,

Welcome to the forum!  I'm not sure what this means, but I will try to see what I can find out.

Maybe someone else here knows and will pop on here with an answer for you.

Again, we're all glad you're here and I think you will enjoy all the great and supportive people.

I look forward to getting to know you better.  We would all love to hear your story and what brought you to having the MRI.  The more we know about you, the easier it is to answer your questions.

I'm gonna go see what info I can find and try to answer your question.
