Supplements

I was reading the excellent post about fatigue and it it set me thinking (after reading from Quiz and magnesium) that it would be interesting to see what supplements everyone is taking.

I am now taking 5000 IU Vitamin D (thanks for everyone's input on this in a previous post)
Chelated Magnesium 200mg
Omega 3 Fish Oils 1000mg
Cranberry (as I seem to be getting UTI's now)
Co-Enzyme Q10 30mg
Multivitamin

So what are the rest of you guys taking and have you any other suggestions of what is helpful? I recently read a good book called  "Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis" by George Jelinek and he had some interesting info and particularly advocated vitamin D, Omega 3 Fish Oils and a vegetarian fat free diet. I was interested to read about Omega 6 Fish Oils which he indicated are not good for anyone with MS so I believe that means evening primrose oil is not a good supplement for us to take.

Anyhow I hope this post will attract some interesting helpful responses. Thanking you in advance and wishing everyone a very Happy New Year.

love Sarah x

Hi Sarah, Happy New Year to you, hope you had a great one.

As far as you question about supplements, I take 2000IU of Vitamin D, a B50 capsule, physillium 3 times a day, Cal/and Mag. 2 333mg, per day,  the Cal/Mag is for the IBS, and the physillium too, and for the rest, I just chucked them in there to hlep, and the Dr. did not seem to care about it.  But , did mention that 2000 IU of Vit. D is a good thing.

I was on hormone replacement, but have since gone off it, as my sister was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, and had her mastectomy a few weeks before Christmas.  So, we are actually trying things herbally, as well as Dr. prescribed.

You can message me if you want, and I can give you some more info.

Take Care,
love Candy

Hi Sarah, and happy new year to you.  Supplements?  I am on none and none of my many doctors have ever suggested them other than calcium.
