Suspected MS
Back in December 2014 i was interviewing a couple of possible tenants and suddenly couldn't speak correctly and was numb on the left side of my body not to mention my thoughts seemed stuck.
A stroke was suspected because i have Hemochromatosis which makes me more prone to clotting but this turns out to be not the case.
Once examined it was noticed i had the following symptoms.
Mild dysarthria
Reduced strength left side and mild spasticity in the left leg with symmetric reflexes.
Up-going planter on the left side with decreased sensation to both pin prick and vibration.
Proprioception is absent in the left foot and no longer able to do heel walk, toe walk or tandem and a mildly unsteady gait.
Strength left side is reduced but not consistent. (subject affected by heat)
Tremors noticed in left arm and apparent shooting burning pain happening briefly in left toes.
A full body spasm that's brief and none painful but like a electric shock.
Mri/Ct showed foci of signal abnormality in the predominant subcortical distribution.
There is a mild protrusion at c5-c6 c6-c7 but Doctor Ginsberg At Siant Mikes has ruled them out as the cause of anything.
Visual testing has shown signal with in normal range but more then 30% loss in the visual field.
Fasciculation reported primarily on the left side with some right side happenings.
Burning pain reported in left side leg below the knee of high degree of pain but fortunaly not lasting longer then a few minutes.
Inflammatory workup
ESR 2 CRP 0.8 WBC 5.14
B12 110
TSH 3.13
Vit E - P
Family
Father side nothing of note in the health department
Mother died young (1972) with similar symptoms and its unknow if this was due to treatments complications or directly due to what was making her sick.
No diagnoses at the time was made due to the state of medical science back then.
Due to The amount of metal in his wrist being beyond safe limits he can not have a mri beyond 1.5 Tesla.
His mental state is remarkable well grounded with no signs of illness but clear signs of frustration and anger of the present issue.
There have been moments of confusion where subject was unable to focus and had both memory / left side facial droop.
Its been noticed that if i am exposed too too much heat over a period i become week and confused unable to focus almost appearing as if i was drunk.
I can no longer do heel walk, toe walk or tandem walk which is a marked change from six months ago when this first started where i only had issues with tandem.
I have zoned out so badly a few times i couldn't remember where i was or the name of my better half who i been with for 15 years.
Unfortunately due to me having over ten inches of medical steel in my wrists i can't go into anything but the base 1.5 tesla so more detailed scans aren't going to happen.
Now iam the IQ genius computer genius (a moron with accounting though...lol) of the family so i tend to be very analytical and not rule things out.
I know iam in a lot of trouble at this point and the outcome is not going to be good but i don't know what the flavor of the outcome is yet.
MS suspected but nastier stuff not ruled out.
See a neurologist at the TAMS clinic tomorrow as they become concerned with the degree of change.

Ironically my hematologist who i see every three months for the hemochromatosis took one look at me and said its clear i got much bigger problems then too much iron.
She gave me the name of the new MS doctor Jiwon Oh at Saint Mikes and told me to have my family doctor refer me too her.
After looking at my medical reports such as the over 30% of visual filed loss, the heat sensitivity and report from the neurosurgeon that this has nothing to do with the disc in my neck.
Said doctors have a habit of saying its all in your head or you must be nuts if it doesn't fit a tech book description of what a disease is.
Totally ignoring past medical history or a doctor saying that a person perfectly sane and that the idea its all in his head is nonsense.

It is scary as it can be when your mind and body quit cooperating with you. So glad you have had lots of tests run. The waiting for results is so hard and you have lots of scary thoughts running through your head. ..when it cooperates. All you can do is wait, post your fears here and pray.
