Welcome to the forum.
First, have you been diagnosed with MS? Our answers here are in the context of MS, so this question is important.
Also, I agree with Rendean that physical therapy is a big help. You need a PT evaluation and treatment plan. That can make a huge difference in balance, and in one month it's already helped me a lot. Your doctor can refer you.

Hi and Welcome!
I , too, have balance and leg pain. I recently started physical therapy and balance is one of the key areas we are concentrating on. Laura was correct about looking straight ahead.
My PT exercises involve retraining my brain to recognize where my feet are in relation to my body. It is helping and I only lean and wobble half as much as I did previoulsy. Have you had PT for this issue?
As for the leg pain, let me know if you some help on this because I've gotten no where but an increase in Lyica which isn't cutting it.
Take care,
Rendean

I'm new to this MS Stuff, but i find the only thing that relieves the pain for me is a massage. Hopefully you can try that on the really bad days!

Tipptoe,
Hi and welcome to the MS forum. I don't think we have officially met yet.
Here's my tip - One thing I do know that helps with balance is to keep your head up and look ahead when you are walking - don't look down at your feet or the ground as you walk because that makes the balance problem worse.
have you considered using a cane or other walking aid to help when your balance is really off? I know we have to give in but it sure beats taking a tumble and breaking something.
Be well,
Laura
