Tanning

Hi all,

I just bought some black tea finally. I'm going to see how good that works to tan my skin. I have not gone to the tanners. But My sister did take me and my kids to the beach the other day. I sat out in the sun for about an hour. It was hot but not too bad. I experienced no side effects.
The water was cold and that made my leg spasm...

I did notice one day when my boyfriend and I were fighting and I was crying and having anxiety that I got really over heated, almost threw up twice and was just feeling horrible, tremors and all. I literally sat in a cold shower and that made me feel better. So I think I got a taste of what can happen if I get over heated that time.

But I'm going to try this tanning method of putting the black tea on me today and I'll let you guys know how it works.

I tried it today and Yeah, you'd have to do it a lot for a few days in a row to notice anything... but I do see a little but nothing anybody else would notice. I only did three applications today. I'll do it again tomorrow and see if it looks even darker.

I hear spray-on tans work pretty well.

I have been out in the sun in small doses doing yard work here or going to the pool for a couple of hours here/there and I have a pretty good tan going on with no side effects from the sun itself (swimming poops me out to no end but it helps the arthritis I have!)

I don't think you should perposely go out to bake yourself but if you go out in little doses with your kids to the park or the pool you will have a nice natural tan going (even with an spf 30!) in no time.

Just my two cents and btw I even went boating over the 4th of July weekend and it was hot that weekend (90+ for 2 of the days we were out) you just have to know when to get out of the sun and rest!

Good luck. MeLissa
