Taste in food changing?

Taste in food changing?

Since my relapse in February, some foods I previously hated with a passion I now crave.

I've looked up 'taste change" and cannot find anything except some foods taste different or metallic with MS. I can't find anything to say things you used to hate now taste yum.

For 48 years I hated baked beans, porridge (oats) with white sugar, and a cup of tea, now I crave these things almost daily. It's like I have a lesion whic has turned me into a pom (a Brit) !

It's very odd. Does anyone know - am I just mental or is this a common phenomenom with MS?

Well,.... you are mental, but it all makes sense.  MS can play with your nerves, and although they usually talk about things tasting off or bad, why can't one of us be lucky enough to have the reverse happen?

99% of taste is the sense of smell, aside from generic sweet, sour, bitter and salty.  The sense of smell is an incredibly complex nerve.

I think tastes change as you get older, rather naturally.  I like stuff now that I disliked as a child - mostly bitter or tangy foods.
