Tempus fugit! It's Monday again. What's everyone doing this week.

Time does fly, so it's time for folks to chime in about their week's activities, medical or otherwise.

For me, I've been coping with another attack of bronchitis, more than 2 weeks now, and on top of that, seasonal allergies have swarmed in. My b!tch meter is running high because of this, but no doubt I'll survive :-)

This afternoon a trip downtown for a much-overdue MRI (my fault), but I'm generally trying to keep the decks clear till I get over this respiratory stuff.

One more item---All winter and early spring I complained here about the weather. Dreary, cold, whatever. But now glorious spring has finally arrived! So many gorgeous trees and bulbs everywhere, with several weeks more to come. Does a body good. So it's only fair to say Yay Weather!

Busy week here. The roofers came Monday morning, not sure what time they got here but probably about 1 hour before I woke up based on how much they had done by then. I didn't hear a thing until I did wake up. No wonder I am paranoid about tornadoes. :)

They finished the roof by 5PM so then came the long wait for me to get my Internet back. Being way out in the country I get my TV & Internet via satellite which were both mounted on my roof. So the dishes had to come down for the roofer to be able to do my roof.

I don't know how many times yesterday, last night, and today I tired to go on-line or watch TV even though I knew I could do neither. The installer was suppose to show up between 8AM and noon. He called at * to tell me he would be there between 9 and 10, but at 10 he called again to say it would be another hour. The installer they sent was out of Nashville as they didn't have any openings with an closer installers for today. Shock a company that goes out of its way for a customer.

Actually this was the second time this week that a company went out of its way for a customer. When the roofers were doing my roof they started to remove singles from my carport by mistake. After I notified the company about this they said they would do my carport for free. My car port is almost 1/2 the size of my house so it should have cost me around $3K to have it done.

Tomorrow I have an appointment in the Columbia VA clinic to address some of my issues.

That index finger that feels like it is broken but may just be another MS thing going on. But I am thinking more and more that it is broken.

Address my itchy legs (Especially the right one ) that are driving me crazy to the point I scratch until they bleed. Pretty sure that is MS as they itch when I get to warm.

See if they came come up with something to help my IBS. Tired of skipping meals just so that I don't end up having accidents.

Need something to deal with the leg cramps. They are getting worse almost every day.

Plus I want them to test me for Rheumatoid Arthritis as they keep say my arthritis is osteoarthritis just because of my age. But I have had it since I was in my 20's.

On Thursday I need to arrange for me to get TV back. Maybe I'll get a quick turn around on that one too. I hope. :)

I've missed a bunch of these!  Oh well.  This Friday I will see my neurologist.  We are going to talk about ON, progression, and treatment this week.  He is going to think I'm having another flare, because I can't hold onto anything with my left hand, and my left leg is very wobbly- but I really think I must have an infection.  Hopefully I can get it somewhat under control, before he sees me.

The only other thing I think is going to happen is repair to my fireplace flue (spelling??)

I'm getting here late tonightm but at least I made it!  Right?  Busy crazy at work today because I was on my own and the term is winding down.  The great news is the sun was out and everyone was in happy spirits- perhaps spring has really arrived?
Tuesday I have a urogyno appointment - just routine checkup.  Tuesday night there is an MS dinner/talk by a neuro I don't know so I'm looking forward to that.  There have been so many talks lately, it seems to be averaging about one a week.

Nothing much else is on the schedule to finish up the week - I could use some quiet time. I have several blog topics in the que and need writing time.

best to all, Laura

Starting this week on a really bad note.  We took our 12 year old Standard Poodle to the animal hospital last night, she was admitted for tests and they'll keep her one more night for observation and we'll bring her home tomorrow.  Long story somewhat shortened, up till yesterday we thought we had a healthy, youthful, vibrant pup who goes on brisk hour long walks daily, a very happy girl. Thought she was in perfect health.

Last evening, she was acting a little strange, decreased appetite, dark stool, tripped on the stairs, couldn't get into car on her own.  Tests reveal internal bleeding, serious heart abnormalities, possibly all caused by underlying disease process, eg cancer.  In addition, biopsy done on a mass on paw that appeared mere days ago, cells look abnormal, waiting for results.  Vet really worried about her heart, starting her on meds to correct heart beat, and ulcer meds just in case that's causing the bleeding.

Not a good outlook, vet doesn't think she has a long life ahead of her though not thinking imminent death.....that is, unless she has a heart attack, which is possible.  Heartbroken and very emotional.  Going to be a rough time ahead.

First appt with new neurologist on Weds, hoping I will have my sh*t together by then and not be an emotional mess.

Gotta brush up on my Latin.  Wrong denomination, I suppose.

My week is full of DIY stuff, as per usual.  Almost picked up a third teenage boy for our house, but his mother and stepfather agreed to let him back in their house late last night.  New gas service installed by contractor at the church failed inspection Friday (in cold snap, of course), so I did an emergency reconnect to the old service.  Brain fog didn't help; it wound up involving several strips to the nearest DIY center (which isn't very near).  Let's call it a learning experience.  The "real" plumber is supposed to be there this morning; no confirmation yet.  Of that.

Plumbing beneath home kitchen sink had a joint come loose, which is one of those things you never discover until damage is done.  Cabinet doors left open all weekend, fan blowing in drier air.  Will get to spend more time lying on my back or standing on my head later this week.

Zoning Commission meeting Thursday night.  Half hoping they cancel it; I need the hours, but also the rest.

Oh, rats.  Look at the time!  Peace, blessings, and all that good stuf to everybody!

Ah, the subject line made me happy, ess. Tempis fugit indeed! I hope you get well soon and the MRI goes smoothly. At least the weather is pulling its weight!

Happy you're birthday was a good one, Alex! Congratulations on another upcoming show!

My husband's niece is having her confirmation on Thursday, so there will be a big family get-together. I don't think there was a Catholic church in a fifty mile radius of where I grew up, so these celebrations are all very exotic to me. I've not seen them since Christmas, so it will be nice to catch up. I need to do some studying though. I haven't a clue about dress code, gifts, etc. etc.!

I had a wonderful party yesterday. The weather was perfect. Lots of people attended. My paintings and my friends art work was a hit. My 50th Birthday Exceeded my expectations.

I was invited to be in another art show in July.
