If you have an increase in thyroid hormone then yes that would make you hyperthyroid and you have to take medication to controlControl Control rx it. My husband had hyperthyroid for 10 years. Hyperthyroid can change to hypo at any time because basically your thyroid wears itself out. Hyperthyroid is also more unpredictable than hypo. My husbands was going haywhire again this last year and we decided to kill his thyroid with radioactiveRadioactive iodine uptake iodine. It is one of the treatments available for hyperthyroid. This treatment will kill the thyroid therefore making you have hypothyroidHypothyroidism Hypothyroidism - primary Hypothyroidism - secondary Neonatal hypothyroidism Primary and secondary hypothyroidism. He could probably tell you more about it.

Thanks for posting. I saw your crisis with Quix telling you to call 911, and then wasn't able to find out what happened. I'm so glad you're OK!
I was just going through the older posts, trying to find out what had happened after I ran out of energy and all I could do was pray that you everyone would reach you and you would get help. It looks like you did.
I don't understand the thyroid thing, either, and some doctors still get confused. My TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh was elevated, so the doctor called and reduced my Levoxyl dosage. A few days later, my regular doctor called and said that her work partner had it backwards and that I needed to increase my dosage, not decrease it. I have hypothyroidism.
I'm glad you get to see your doctor and get clear answers about this.
