The Flu and other such questions

MedHelp is preparing to unveil a new feature and it couldn't be more timely, with all the cases of flu around this forum.

They are beginning LIVE chats with experts - and the first one will be this Tuesday, March 17, 3-4PM EST.  with Dr. Enoch Choi.  He runs a very lively forum on infectous diseases.

This first chat is IS IT THE COMMON COLD OR SOMETHING MORE SERIOUS?
You can go to this address to register for the chat and enter your questions.

http://www.medhelp.org/health_chats/list_upcoming

And of course you can always write a question on Dr. Choi's forum if you can't wait until Tuesday!  He reminds me a lot of Dr. Park, very accessible and interesting blogs.

MedHelp did a trial run yesterday of the live chat feed with available community leaders and I was available so I participated.  They asked for suggestions of what types of chats we wanted and what types of experts.  Of  course I asked them to invite our expert to hold a live chat - I guaranteed the chat room would be full if Dr. Kantor would be willing to meet.  :-)

My best to all of you,
Lulu

Dr Choi has posted an intro to his chat here -

Also, this new chat feature will allow you to post your questions in advance and come back later to read the transcript if you are unable to attend it in real time.

Correction - I should have said we did the trial run TODAY and not yesterday - that's my brain, what was I thinking!!!

I'm bumping this one last time because I really want our members to know this is available - with everyone suffering here with the flu, this chat and information is very timely.
