The Plot Thickens......

Well I went and had my bone density test this a.m. and my bones are FINE!!!  I don't have to be taking those horrible horse size calcium pills...YAHOO!!  So, as I said,  the plot thickens...what is causing the pain in Rena's legs...hmmm...nah, couldn't be MS...that's inactive!  mwahh ha ha ha ha ha

So I guess I will wait until June to get the result from all  the blood tests that the rheumy took...that's all folks!

Hey honey...I wish I could do something to help you with the swelling...I hope the meds they have you on now start to help somewhat...with so much on your mind you need something like this to keep your mind off it!

I am happy that the bone test came back normal but not at all surprised for obvious reasons other than I drink A LOT of milk and eat a LOT of cheese!  Oh, I forgot to tell you...I have always measured 5'2" on the nose but she measured me today THREE TIMES and I am 5'3"!!!!  When you are as short as this ONE INCH makes a lot of difference ya know...so how come I still can't reach the top shelf of the cupboard!! arrrgh

Loves ya,

Rena

Hey Sweetie, please keep on taking the vitamin D and call them for your results.  I wish I could help you more, I hate being so far away.  I hate being in this flare, typing is a major chore, but the brain is goin a million miles an hour.  It took me two weeks to get my vit D level back from the lab, the first time.

I am so glad that your bone density test came back fine. That is a relief, WHEW!!!!

Love Ya,

Ada

Where do I START!

Deb...I hated taking those frigging things...two hours before or after other meds, take with food, choke on the bloody things while swallowing...just too many demands!  ha ha

Sllowe...I had the lung function test in January and they said that I have a problem with my right lung but I have yet to get a referral to the pulmonologist...the gp has had an excuse every single time I have seen her...last time the specialist was supposedly on vacation so she would refer me when he gets back...this time...ohhh...he should be back from vacation by now....it's total bull if you ask me...I am using my puffer way too often and have breathing trouble every afternoon!

6 -pak...The Vitamin D test apparently is very expensive to run so they only do it once per month...so I guess I can't get any other results until she has the vitamin D result...maybe she can't read any other results without that one???? who knows???

Elaine...I doubt that if I went to see a new neuro that told my gp that it is my MS...she still wouldn't believe it!  She knows nothing about MS and I guess I am the one to pay for that fact...lucky me!  I will mention to her that the rheumy said that the pain I am having is more than likely related to MS "BUT" she stated that she is not the specialist and Dr. M must know what she is talking about!  Bull Pucky!!!

Wobbly...I had a CSpine MRI and Pelvic MRI and they were both virtually normal other than the normal degenerative changes...that was the one that the old neuro thought that I might have a tumor on my spine after I had a lumbar strain which I did explain to him and he insisted that it could be a tumor and it cost me $1150.00!  What a total idiot he was...I was diagnosed with the lumbar strain by an ER doc who even sent him a letter explaining it!  I AM SURROUNDED BY INEPT PHYSICIANS AM I NOT???

HHHHEEEELLLLPPPP MMMMEEEEEEEE!!!!!

It's great that your bones are fine.... good news.  Have you had a C-Spine MRI etc for the pains in your legs etc??  or have you ever had one ?  Just curious if the spine could cause the pains in our legs?

I'm still waiting for my blood test results as well, they told me it will take a couple of weeks.  I do request to have a copy sent to my home when I get my test done...sometimes I get them, but sometimes I don't...

take care

If all of your tests come out fine, what will make that stubborn neuro allow you to have DMD's??  Would the GP admit that your MS is active?

It seems a horrible waste of time for you to go through this when you know what the real problem probably is.

Well, June isn't that far away.

Well, I'm glad that your bone density test went well and you don't have to take those darned horse pills anymore, but I can't believe you have to wait until JUNE to get the results of those tests!!!!

Call 'em up and ask for the results over the phone.
