Think I May Be Getting Hugged

I usually post in limboland but I have an appt w/a new neuro tomorrow and this new symptom couldn't have come at a nicer time. I thought it was heartburn at first, but as the day has gone by it is getting worse. My chest is tight, I am asthmatic but it's not asthma kind of tight. I can't get a good breath because it feels like someone is crushing my chest. And my stomach hurts too, like I have on a belt that is too tight. Is this what the MS hug feels like?

No lesions, neg LP but a whole list of craziness and possible ON. Wonder what neuro has to say to this!
What do you all say?

It does sound like a hug to me... That's how I felt any way... It was kinda like that commercial where the elephant is sitting on the guys chest... That's how mine was.. It was only painful for a little while and now I just have numbness all around my chest...

When I first experienced it I thought I was having a heart attack. I remember it was 2am in the morning and we were in the middle of the country, miles away from any medical service. The tightening started in the left side then moved all the way across my chest.

Yes, my 'girdle' feels burning hot and hurts when I laugh or cough. Sometimes in bed the burning seems to spread right up my back on even onto my thighs. The neuro said my T5 lesion was most likely responsible for these symptoms. So by what you describe it sounds like you've got yourself an MS hug.
