Thinking of getting a tattoo

I am taking Avonex and am thinking about getting a tattoo.   Are there any risk factors due to the medication?

I would think that will not be a problem.

I'm not so sure about permanent eyeliner because of its location.  Anyone know the answer to that one?

Thank you for your response.

Yes, I do plan on a modified fleur de leis (I love New Orleans) and I was thinking about putting it a little above my ankle.

The only tattoos you really need to avoid are the ones done in prison !  The new tattoos use a different ink that doesn't have the metal that would interfere with MRI's.

Do you have a design and location in mind?

None that I am aware of.  Tattoo studios use sterile technique and the new synthetic dyes are pretty non-reactive.  Keep in mind that you should never inject through a scar (including tattoos.)
