This week in the news ... what's up besides a bunch of walks?

Its been busy and I'm just now checking in here.  I'm surprised no one started our weekly summary so here it is....  what is going on this week with you?

I'm eyeball deep in fine tuning my MS walk team for this Saturday.  And there's an accupuncture appt. Tuesday afternoon that I am looking forward to.

What about you?  This is the place to share the coming week's events.

be well,
Lulu

The '57s are way past due, too.  This one needs a tune up, alignment, lube & oil change, along with some body work, & evidently some rewiring along with it.  A valve job probably wouldn't hurt at some point in the future.  Been told it's a classic, but time has clearly taken a toll.

it sounds like a busy, yet calm week around here, if that is possible.

My accupuncture appt was so good I fell asleep during the treatment - he said he knew I had taken a nap because he could hear me snoring through the closed door!!  That must have been what kept waking me.  LOL

Walk plans are getting crazy - having never done this before I am learning on the fly here.

SB - best wishes for the repair job - sorry there was a recall on this model year.

Given Bactrin for infection, but it is not working after being on it for 7 days.  But will finish the script.

Monday - PCP added oral prednisone for next 2 weeks to get the breathing prblems under control.  Neb treatments and inhalers are no longer helping.

Friday - Follow-up with PCP to see monitor recovery from infection.  Considering IV antibiotics.  Hope it doesn't come to that.

Otherwise, really enjoying my new place but not all the boxes that still need to be unpacked.

Wishing you all better health and successful doctor's appointments.

Julie

Me, I'm going in for a repair job...It seems that there was a recall, that I finally got a letter about (stupid mailman). Yes, there is a recall  for a 1973 model, born on the 24th of April...that's me.

The recall is for a broken bladder that might fall down and cause leakage ( too late, already happen). The support walls might give as well ( too late, it's sharing space with my bladder).

April 14th, I'm going in for a tac, sling, mesh support, and they will attach it to my spine. I will be partly bionic, after it's all said and done...hehe.

and people want to know why my name is slightlybroken LOL

Wish me luck ;)

Oh, drat.  Yeah, I have that tax thing to deal with, too.  After my 2002 tax experience, no bad news I hear from the accountant could do much to me.  I just hope she gets done so I don't have to file another extension.  I'm trying to turn over a new leaf. ;)

I have a busy week this week!

Yesterday, today and tomorrow I watch my husbands Aunt while her daughter (DH's cousin) is working. She had a stroke about 2 months ago and is not in very good shape. She has no short term memory. She asks every 5 minutes where her daughter is. She knows that she knows us, but she has no idea who we are. It is very mentally exhausting. I'll be doing it until the beginning of May, then there should be an opening in an an adult daycare center for her.

Other then that, I have a big order for truffle-type things I make. 90 of them for a wedding on Saturday.

Then, my youngest turns one on friday, and my Mama heart is sad LOL She is our last baby, and I guess she won't be a baby for much longer.

No doctors appointments or anything. :-)

Monday:  Contact vendors about Sunday School materials, meet with young(er) couple thinking of buying our decaying old unused parsonage (he's my barber).  Hurriedly replaced broken lockset on the back door at home.  Tim's soccer game was cancelled, but we didn't know that until we got there.  Fortunately it was a home game.

Tuesday:  Work on Sunday sermon.  Contact other pastors in our zone to remind them we have a meeting next week, and to suggest a cookout or potluck among us and our families some time this summer.

Wednesday:  Work on Sunday sermon.  Prayer meeting 6 pm.

Thursday:  Work on Sunday sermon.  Possibly attend a community dinner hosted by the Methodist church down the block from our church, but probably not because the main entree this month is described as "sausage and rice casserole."  Just doesn't sound appealing, for some reason.

Friday:  Weekly Christian men's breakfast.  Work on Sunday sermon.  Pay bills, maybe.

Saturday:  AM: Probably attend "Super Saturday" training program at our district's biggest church, west of COlumbus.  PM: Work on Sunday sermon.  Work on Sunday worship program.

All of these days might include time working on the chcurch website; I'm getting a bit frustrated with links to audio files (past sermons) stored on another server.

Shalom.

Well, I planned to go to my once-a-month MS support group tomorrow at noon, but this weekend my dizziness hit hard with nausea (vertigo?) on top of the extra fatigue, blurred vision and dry eyes.  I contacted my neuro's office and will be seeing a nurse practitioner tomorrow at 3:30.  I don't feel like I can drive safely, so I won't make it to support group, and a friend will drive me to appt.  I'll catch the bus home.  Unless I wake up feeling better!

Wednesday at 8:40 am I have an appointment for an eye exam.  Luckily my eye doctor is within easy walking distance of my apartment.

Friday I'll be going with my friend to her conference in Bellvue; she's driving.  I'll get to stay in a nice hotel.  Hopefully my vertigo will have eased off so the drive up isn't to rough.

I wish I was doing an MS walk!

Hope everyone has a good week.

Kathy
