Throat problem- TN - or hemifacial spasm?

As many of you will know I have a problem around my right eye. The eye lid droops there is pulling pain that's not only around the eye and scalp but down the back of my ear.

Now I have a mild sore throat & irritating cough. and I've had it for about 4 weeks, I've started to think this may be connected to the above as it is the same side and feels like it is pulling in the same direction.

Is this possible or am I adding 2 and 2 and making 5?

It sounds more like a sinus infection.

No Not sinus.

I had the pain around my eye for over 8 months. I've had a couple of mri's which would show up a sinus problem and I'm not blocked up in any way.

The throat thing has only happened over the last 4 weeks, it is probabley unconnected but it was just a thought.

I don't think that your TN caused the sinus problem, but it is possible that the TN is worse because of the sinus - if that makes any sense.

I've had problems on and off with the side of my neck, and had some real problems with the muscles spasming - right around the same time that I had some sinus drainage.  My lymph nodes were inflamed.

I really don't think this has anything to do with my sinus's. The cough is like an irritation because my throat is being pulled.

Any one have any other ideas please?

Are you thinking this is neuropathic pain or something?  I think Occam's Razor is the best tool here.  It's probably just a sore throat.  I've never heard of neuropathic pain that feels like a sore throat and irritating tickle.  I've had buzzing in the throat, and stabbing electric pains, but when my throat is sore, it's just sore.
