Tight band around chest causing spasms

Hello,
   This fall I've experienced a tight feeling around my chest which has caused sudden spasms which forces the air out of my lungs and also have facial grimaces.   Recently I've noticed spasticity and fatigue in my arms and legs.
    Ten years ago, I had body spasms which was diagnosed as stress-related, and put on anti-depressants which I'm still on.
    Twenty years ago I experienced weakness in my legs with falling, and had tests done which all came back normal.  The neurologist then said that I had transverse myelitis and possible MS.
    Do you think that these new spasms and spasticity are MS related?
