It varies from person to person. I have never had a big attack. Never been on steroids. I just go to the Neurologist for routineRoutine sputum culture checks.My PCP found my MS during my yearly exam.
A new relapse is distinguished as being at least one month later than a previous relapse. Beyond that, there are no 'typical' timeframes. Some patients go years before having another relapse, if at all. Some have relapses several times per year.
That's a tricky question, because everybody is different. For me - I would say approx 4 years if not longer - and then they were only minor relapses, like doubleDouble-tussin dm vision and a bit of a wonky leg.
