Tingling in hands

I have a lot of tingling in my hands today, they almost feel like little pin pricks just in my fingers...the rest of my hands (especially the right) feels almost numb. I also have had this symptom where sometimes when I breathe deeply my fingers tingle and feel numb. If I carry something in my arms for more than a few minutes my hands get numb and almost frozen...has anyone else experienced anything at all like this?

I tend to be more clumsy with the left hand and I still can't gage hot and cold properly with that hand, got altered skin sensation all down my left side - don't know if that will ever go away

I also have a slightly prolapsed disc at C4 level which Dr thinks is responsible for the numbness in my right hand around the thumb, am hoping the neurologist will shed some light on which symptoms belong to what

Yes, I have tingling in my hands (mostly right side) all the time.  Weirdly, I get a tingling in my hands when I breathe deeply, too.  I also notice notice that they are kind of numb now (before way more numb).

Another odd thing is that I will drop things and never had any idea that I wasn't holding it well.  Several times, I would retrieve what I dropped on the floor, drop again, and may even drop it again.  Does this ever happen to you?

MS is so odd.

Just another thought...

I had lots of numb tingly hands/arms. After a cervical spine MRI, it showed I had 2 herniated discs that were compressing my spinal cord. The damage was "almost" irreversible, and would have gotten worse. I had surgery, and although I also have MS, it was a secondary finding.

Have you had cervical spine MRIs? I am certainly not wishing that on you, but some things are not always MS related.

Good luck to you,
Michelle

I have this all the time, mostly in my left hand, but at time my right side legs and hands are doing the same.

I try to move them around to see if it helps...but it really doesn't help much.

I have had the tips of my fingers feel like bee stings when I touched water, or picked up something.. that lasted a few weeks then went away...but the tingling and numbness feeling is there most of the time.

hang in there..

the only thing that helps me is to keep my arm/hand warm when it does it's cold thing, usually wrap a warm throw round that arm, my left foot goes cold as well (always the left, odd isn't it) and it actually hurts, I have a woolly bed sock I pull on - recently on holiday, was lying on the beach with a woolly sock on my left foot, that got me some odd looks lol

Dr says it's another symptom - don't know what he'll put it down to if the neurologist doesn't diagnose me!

Yeah, they do feel cold , as well. Is there anything that helps? Or is this just part of a symptom, do you know?

yeah, I've got the tingling/pins and needles thing going on in my left hand and it's also cold, at first it felt like the finger tips were going to explode with pressure, it's slowly getting better but I've had it around 5 weeks

Yes, I would have to say I have the same tingling in my fingers all the time.  I now have it my leg as well. My fingers feel like I have rubberbands tied on them and they slam shut and I can't get them open sometimes. I too can not carry anything in my left hand for more than a minute of two.  I don't think your nuts......let him look!  Can't say I can relate the breathing deep symptom.  We are all different but the same.....thanks for your post
