To anyone who has ms

I would like to ask a question any person or persons diagnosed with ms.
I had a mri of whole spine and brain without contrast only a few weeks after symptons started, it was clear. Did anyone have a 1st mri done on them to show up clear, and then later on the 2nd or 3rd showed the lesions? I am still finding it hard understanding lesions and mri's, and know somethings not right, because my mri was clear 1st neuro said definately don't have ms, 2nd neuro said most unlikely. I'm still not sure? I fear ms everyday, could it be possible that my mri was done too early and they have missed the lesions? My mri was done on a telsa 1.5, I am pregnant and my symptons have slowly subsided and almost all disappeared except a couple of things.

I agree with you...Doc enjoy that pregnancy and that new baby when the time comes.  Gosh there is so much horrible things to worry about in this world and one of the greatest things, is bringing new life into this world.

Take it from an old lady...you will really miss being pregnant when it's all over.  I am in my 50's now and I STILL miss feeling that life move inside of me.  And the smell of a newborn....it drives me crazy...cause it makes it hard not to want to pick up every newborn I see and just s-m-e-l-l........ It's so precious.

My best to you and your family and to all of you over the Thanksgiving holidays.

Best Wishes dear, Heather

Hey Doc,

So glad to hear that you are feeling better.

I have no MS diagnosis, so can't be considered a veteran. But I'll put my thoughts down.  Very good that your first MRI showed no lesions.  It is possible to have MS and to have no lesions show up on MRI.  It is also possible that there are no lesions of the first MRI, but there are lesions on the second or subsequent MRI.

OK, that said.    You have no diagnosis for now and the Dr. doubts that it is MS.  I am afraid that only time can answer the question if you do or don't have it.  Remember, it is possible to have only one episode of whatever it is.

Early pregnancy can also be very disruptive to your system - maybe partially explaining some of your symptoms. It is very unusual to have symptoms first occur during pregnancy. So maybe it really is something else.  My sister was joking about being pregnant (yet again - her third) and her advice to a friend who was pregnant with her 1st was that there is no such thing as normal or standard during pregnancy..... and just about anything can be experienced....

You are feeling better for now.  Please enjoy it and focus on enjoying your pregnancy and your family, and your husband.  You are going to be extra busy when baby arrives.   Live in the now as far as your fear of MS is concerned, focus on being as positive and healthy as you can be...

Please try to stop thinking and worrying so much about MS.  Worrying is not going to change anything.  Also, even if it were MS (just assuming), there is nothing that can be done while you are pregnant.

Sorry I am not trying to be forward or anything, just I can see you are so concerned about the possibility of MS that you may be having difficulty seeing beyond that now.  Please do take my comments the right way.

Peace and blessings.

Sally
