Tongue Biopsy over with!

Hi Everyone!    Thank you to all of you for your prayers and messages!  I appreciate all of you.

I had the biopsy of my tongue on Valentin's Day.  I was surprised that it took so long.  He started with 3 shots in my tongue and then started to cut.  He cut for about 15 minutes and then stitched it up.  I haven't heard anything but they were not concerned about it and listed it as a 'low' cancer risk.

After the biopsy, I went into hibernation.  I only sleep for minutes at a time now so I have felt worn out.  I was also feeling very depressed about all of this including my living situation and letting go of my glass studio.

So, I'm baaaaaaaack and anxious to read and find out how all of you have been doing.

Red

It was so good to see the results were negative for any cancer Red.

This doesn't sound like fun to me either.  I'm guessing that none of us has considered tongue piercing for cosmetic enhancement?

I'm glad to hear your biopsy is over!!! You are a braver woman than me. They would have had to give me some of Addi's pre -LP Valium to get me to settle down long enough to do it.

I hope the results are good and all of this laid to rest.

Glad to see you're at least up to posting, that's a good sign.

Take care,
Ren

Hi you, so glad to see you back.   I will continue to pray for a good result from the biopsy.

So very happy that you decided to come out of hibernation, and post.

I hope it will help to know that so many people care about you.  !!  ( an we REALLY do) ...

It is always so very hard when we have to stop working.  I`m sorry for you, how long had you had your shop

You are an incredibly strong lady, and you can do this.  Think of the freedom that you will have to do something else, if you choose to.

*HUGS* to you,
be well,
Candy

Hey Red!  So glad to see you post.  I have been thinking of you.

You are a braver woman than me.  I don't know if I would have had the inner strength to go through with the biopsy.  I am so thankful that you had the strength to go through with it.  I hate to ask but, did your sister go with you?  Or at least support you in any way?

I am so so happy that they feel this is a low cancer risk.  Whew!  So when will you get the official report?

It is perfectly acceptable to mourn your glass shop.  It was a big part of who you are.  I am sorry for your loss.  Just remember there is a whole other big part of you that you should embrace at this time, too.  You are an incredibly strong woman (it has something to do with your red hair. Hehe).  You are also very passionate with what you believe in.  You have lifted many of us on this forum up off the ground.  Now it is our turn.  Let us lift you up.

Hugs, gf

Great to see your message.

OUCH!!  That really must of hurt to have had 3 injections on your tongue.

Just take one step at a time, I'm sure it must like mad at the moment.

Hugs,

Thanks you guys!

The shots in my tongue hurt, such an awful thing, someone sticking a needle in there 3 times.

My tongue is very sore and I don't talk too much still and can't eat many foods.  I finally had the guts to look at it yesterday and it is HUGE!!  Larger than a nickel and fairly deep.  I'm worried that it will never heal.  The lesion never healed so maybe this won't.

Watching someone tie knots is wierd too.

The resident told me I could just take Ibuprofen.  The last resident that told me to just take Ibuprofen was after my 5 hour hysterectomy endometriosis surgery.  I swore I would never let that happen again.  I swore I would kick the next one that said that.

argghhh  I was just too tired

Hi, Red. So glad the procedure is over and that they don't seem worried. You have enough on your plate as it is.

Try to get some rest. We'll be glad to hear all about your thoughts as time unfolds.

Welcome back! I'm glad that they didn't seem too concerned after they biopsied it. I really hope it comes back negative. BTW, I can't imagine getting shots in your TONGUE!

Wow, and letting go of your glass studio? I saw your pics that you have loaded up and they're great - that really is too bad.

Glad that you're coming out of hibernation.
