Tremor in right hand

Tremor in right hand

When I first had major symptoms I jad tremors in my right hand. Yesterday I noticed that I again have a tremor. Is this a symptom od MS?

My soca at Ucsf tell me that I don't have MS but I am freaking out again. I had another MRI after sixonths showing no new lesions. If this were ms what is the likelihood that at least one new lesion would have shown up?  And what about this tremor in my right hand?  Ong.  I am just so scared.

Thank you and merry Christmas.

Carrie

Carrie, it doesn't sound like there is anything to be scared about,  even if it is MS it can be quite manageable.

The best way to take the fear out of this is to take the time to learn more about this disease and the treatment.  The prognosis for those of us with MS is so much better than it was 20 years ago.

Its great that your MRI continues to be clear - there is always the possibility of lesions not being visible but it sounds like your doctor is taking care of you.

The tremors can come from a wide variety of things ..... if you go to diagnosispro.com and put in tremors, you will see the exhaustive list.  You will need to know if you have a resting tremor, an intention tremor or one of the many other types.

Stay in touch - check back in next week when there are more folks around and let us know how you are.

be well and enjoy the holidays, Lulu

I've heard of people having essential tremor in the hands without any disease activity - perhaps you're one of those people.

I was having tremors in my head and hands. I've had them in the head for 15 years, and the hands started this summer. They changed sides. At first worse on one side, then the other. When I went on the steroids all the tremors went away. Now they're back as I'm tapering down again.

According to the MS specialist, mine is not MS. It might be connected to an autoimmune thyroid disease that cross reacts with the CNS.

There are a lot of reasons for tremors.
