Update on my (?) drug interaction

Best info I have is what Dennis posted in my other thread.  I've seen multiple other statements confirming that potential problem.

Neuro's nurse said she'd never heard of that one, but said there would be no problem if I dropped Amantadine for a couple of weeks to see if the problem goes away.

Hmmm.  Well, I cut out Flexeril, figuring the problem started when that was added to the mix.  I'll give that several days' thought, I think.  I guess I'd rather give up the benefit I sensed from the Flexeril, vs. that from the Amantadine.  If I drop both, I might never have a clue which to avoid in the future, right?  Plus, I'd likely be back to feeling as crummy as I felt six weeks ago.  Does this make sense?  After the past 36 hours, I'm a little less comfortable with my own thought process.  What do y'all think?

Yes very wise to only withdraw one medication at a time or you would never know. The same applies when starting new medications as well.

I'm just glad you have found the cause of your reaction & that you are recovering. It must have been really scary for you. I know I was worried about you.

Take care

Karry.

Hi, PD. It's good scientific method to cut out one thing at a time. If you deleted both, how would you know which one it was?

Assuming it was one of them, that is. Maybe you just need a different *type* of med. Baclofen rather than Flexeril, for example. I think you're wise to do what you're doing for now, and see what happens. You can always add the other again, and if horrors occur, you'll know. If that's too fraught and the symptoms are really bad, a different type, as I suggested, might be the answer.

I'm sorry you're going through all this, and only wish the answers were simpler. What's with these dang bodies anyway?
