Update

Hey Everybody,
I went to the psychiatrist this morning.  My walking was better but my talking was still messed up.
He called the neuro in the hospital and asked him if i should go to the ER and type neuro said no but to talk to my doc because i may need steroids.

My walking is much better now and my talking has improved.  Still haven't heard from the ms specialist and am a little annoyed.  I know it wasn't a life or death situation and he probably did too so I guess that's that.

Thanks for all of your thoughts and advice.  I am very apprehensive about steroids because i heard that they take a bigger toll on your body than they actually help.

I guess you have to weigh the benefit bs the side effects.

Whatever happened seems to be subsiding in it's own.

To begin with, I'm glad all those symptoms decided to subside quickly.  It sounds like you will need to clarify office procedures for calling in with needs when you get there for the next appointment.

I can appreciate your hesitancy to rush into steroids but will say there came a day when there was no doubt in my mind that any steroid side effect was worth risking if there was any chance it would speed up the symptom resolution.

I left some thoughts for you the other day when you were asking about how to recognize a flare.  I'm not sure you saw it because you had a lot going on at the time.  I looked at it again and don't think I'd change the suggestions I had.
