Hi Friends,

have not been around for a while.... or rather lurking....

Am doing ok.  Just passed 6 months (24 weeks).  Baby is likely a girl.  I will call her Gabrielle (Gia for short) unless a different name seems to suit her better.  She likes to kick.

Am pretty well recovered from the surgery and am even exercising again, though I still have some tummy pain (maybe ibs-related or maybe adhesions, anyway usually bearable).  An hour very easy (pregnant woman pace) run with friends this morning, also been able to swim and gym regularly..... blood sugar is under control with insulin, same for thyroid,... and all else looking perfectly normal.  Most of the neurological stuff in 'remission' and long may it last!

Am not too big yet, but probably will pop out all of a sudden.  Will be glad when baby comes.  15 1/2 weeks and counting.  Though probably when she comes i'll be wishing she'd stayed put a little longer. LOL.

Work and all else is super busy, and doing my best to try to keep up (with varying success), without stressing too much.

Will keep popping in from time to time....

Take care all of you.

Sally

Hahaha....

...... if she's a he, well, the name would still fit. Poor kid I've been sending girl baby thoughts to it.  Haven't bought baby clothes yet, except for a few non-gender specific and will be getting the rest second hand from friends and family (don't see any need to buy new stuff for a baby).

I guess they'll do another ultrasound somewhere along the way so probably will get confirmed one way or the other in the next month or so...

Thanks. :)

I'm so glad to read that things are going well. You sure had rough going in the beginning.

Will they be doing more ultrasounds in these later weeks? I know that you're not positive that it's little Gabrielle (lovely name), nesting in there. Suppose it's really little Gabriel, just being shy? You might be buying the wrong clothes, and perhaps Gabriel wouldn't want a pink room!

I'm only kidding. Whichever it is, you'll be a great mother!

Lots of hugs,
ess

Hey Gal!

Glad to have the update! I figured you'd be back on track soon enough.  You are one tough cookie girl, and I'm sure baby Gia will remain just as strong as you for the rest of her journey in your belly and, oh, look out when she arrives!

Awwwww, I miss those days! Thanks for posting this! My little girl was a good little sleeper. The boys, a whole nother story - very, very hungry, to say the least.  I'm sure your little Rockette is kicking now, but she'll simmer once she finally meets Super-Mom!

Much love and health to you both,
Shell
