Urinary problems?

Someone else brought this up.  About 17yrs ago I started having horrific UTI's.  Now at that time I didn't know what was wrong with me.  I had to pee all the time, very little did come out and it was beyond painful.  It got to one point that I had an accident in the car on the way home from work.

Finally years later I went to the Drs and found out it was UTI's.  I still get them, but luckily drinking cranberry juice and lots of water at the first sign of one will clear it up before it gets to the point of needing antibiotics.

I never thought of this as a symptom of anything else.......also never thought much about getting sick in the heat was anything.  These two things were a part of who I am.

Now the more I read the more Im finding that these two problems, many people have with MS.  

Anyone else with this problem?

I just started posting here yesterday, after coming across this sight as I'm in total limbo-land at the moment.

I have been dx'd with a Neurogenic bladder, and if you Google it nothing good really comes up.  In the past 7 weeks I've had 3 UTI's because of it.  I had an L-spine MRI last week which was clear for Spinal Stenosis and Cord compression.  I see the Neuro a week from today.  

Like you I think so many symptoms I've been discounting and now with the Neurogenic bladder, which is now affecting my bowels also, a clearer picture is coming to mind.  I know the Neuro appt is just the begining but I am very thankful my Dr's have realized something is horribly wrong and are trying to figure it out the quickest route.

You should be seen by a Urologist and they can do Urodynamics testing to determine if it is an anotomical problem or a nerve related problem.  It was the Urologist that determined I needed to be seen by a Neurologist.  He feels I've had this problem for awhile and just got by.  I recently had surgery and my bladder lifted.  Now that it is back in place I don't have the muscle strength (big red flag).
