WBC dropping slowly/???

Hi everyone, I noticed when I got the results of a blood test, that my WBCs are dropping they are still in the "normal" range...but notice since a year ago...they are heading down...all the WBC ones...the RBC seems fine and the Placlets?? are fine... I wonder what it means.. I know it mean you could have an infection...but for this long of a period.

Or is it common for them to steadily drop...??

any ideas I would appreciate...and I know this isn't to do with MS...??

Hello Again, I think it is when the WBC are high it is a sign of Infection, it is the White Blood Cells that fight the bad things so they increase to do that, Low Red Blood Cells is a sign that you are producing enough of something...

Now I ain't no Doctor or Nurse, so I could be wrong... Are there any Docs or Nurses in the house to help clear this up.

I was told that the reason my White count was always high was because of the MS?, But Back in the "Old Days" I was told a lot of crapola that turned out to be ever so wrong.... Like there is "NO Pain with MS"... Hello !!! The heck there isn't !!!!  Also that my Bowel Problems were from my Medications... Sure part of them were, but they NEVER told me that the MS can cause Paralysis of the Bowels and Intestines.. Maybe they think if they don't tell us what could happen, than it WON'T HAPPEN.. I say
" Forewarned is Forearmed"....

Sorry if I have just added to your confusion, Sometimes I worry about doing just that.

Hi Andie,

I only had a drop in WBC due to my meds, so I'm just not sure. As long as they stay within the average normal range, you should be ok - but if not they will have to get to the bottom of it.

When they are low and severely low you are vulnerable to everything commonly fought off by your immune system.

How are you feeling otherwise?

Sorry I've not been around and have been wondering how you've been.
((hugs))
