Today I am visiting the neuro-ophthalmologist to show her my angiograms of the aneurysm and get her opinion about how it may or may not be linked to my eye pain, and what she thinks might be the best decision to make regarding surgery.
Really, it's just to get medical info from someone because the wait until my neurosurgeon follow-up is killing me. Will report in a new thread once I know something.
Tuesday and Thursday I have school. Wednesday and Friday mom has doctors appointments. I get my car tomorrow so excited about that :)

I am heat sensitive, I couldnt figure out why every day @ 3:00 I would get a big headache, then I realized that's when I head out for errands. After i homeschool my kids. II get palpatations and start drifting when I walk, it's not pretty. Lol
I am trying to recover from a super busy weekend --- :)
This week we are anxiously waiting to here if my son made a select Lacrosse team. He is super excited so I am hoping he made it. Short term: It would mean some additional more private practices and traveling to a competitive tournament. Long term: It will really elevate his game play and give him more opportunities.
I am working a short week and have some play time planned.
I also have a MS class this Saturday which is hosted by my doctor/hospital. I am really excited to hear about everything the MS clinic has to offer.
I also have a follow-up appointment with my doctor next Monday where I get to tell her I am having NO side affects to Avonex. :)
Otherwise, we are having beautiful weather here in the Seattle area, I cannot complain. :)
Hi ALL, well we made it through the first week of the Copaxone injections, and it seems to be going ok...! I don't like the sore spots that seem to last awhile, but I guess I will get better at it as time goes on.
My day is pretty good today, got some housework done, and of course the never ending laundry, am looking forwrd to getting in the garden , I just don't want to do to much today.
Hope you are all have a great day, and enjoying the sunshine, I know I sure am...
Cheers,
Candy
I wasn't aware they used films anymore, most all use "to CD disk" format......
my neuro pops my CD in his laptop and shows you what he sees....
many people live in FL and don't go from a/c to a/c....not all MS patients are heat sensitive
Sorry, just felt those were important! Am sure others will comment on "mouthy me" (grin)
Go enjoy your week-end, worst thing that could happen would be that it would amplify your symptoms..........not strike you dead on the spot!
Well, what a neat idea.
I went to my first visit with an MS neurologist today. He was very through and seemed genuinely interested in me. With the ON and symptoms its a possible MS DX. We did visual and audio evoked potentials and an EEG, I have another MRI for my C-spine on Thursday. He couldn't read the disk from my brain and optical mri so I need to get some films, before next week. He has also forbid me to look at symptoms on the internet, he says that is what he is there for. I really appreciated that statement. He told me look at the other people there, there are people with Alzheimers, I look pretty healthy and not to worry.
He wants me to stay indoors, A/c to A/c, because I am in FL. Which is hard, I have a trip to Universal Studios planned for Wednesday, and had a beach trip with a bunch of high school girls for Sunday. I will have to make another plan for Sunday be we'll see. The good thing is I do not have to weed the garden!!! :-)
Still kinda sorta in limbo-land but feeling a little better about it..
I am so happy that I can just talk about this with someone who "GETS" it. Thanks!
The usual PT three times this week. Thursday is a good day though - my Bioness walk aide device comes and I can start training with it. Hopefully all goes well and this awful AFO will be a thing of the past!
I had Tysabri infusion # 6 yesterday and it's still smooth sailing. This morning I went to the eye doc for 4 month check up (stable glaucoma) and sailed through that as well.
Thursday I'm going to see the Naturopathic doc at the MS Day Spa to discuss, among other things, Alpha Lipoic Acid. From what I've read it looks like pretty good stuff on lots of levels; a powerful anti-oxidant, improves the conversion of calories to energy, it may even help with the glaucoma.
The week's cap off will be Sunday's Walk MS NYC!

Errands after returning from visit with DHs baby brother, doctor visits and starting to shut the house down and return North next week-end (if they stop having SNOW in the NE) LOL
Hope everyone's tests come out good. Yes, surgery will take the starch out of your shirt for sure! Perhaps it stresses the immune system who knows
Everyone have a good week-end
Hi All,
Had a good weekend, and now back to the grind. Baby boy goes for his license this week, so ensuring he's got all his skills intact next few days. Uhg, I try not to worry, but knowing those who text and driving are killing themselves or others, natch I worry even more. This is nothing we had to even think about when we 1st started driving for sure. Just the drunks and bad drivers. Other than that thought all's stable.
Wishing you all a pleasant week, w/minimal stressors, and if they climb ontop - wishing you strength to throw them off!!!!
Nothing much going on in my world. Picking up my MRI cd today. My 2nd daughters Bday is today. She's in the army so she lives far away. I miss her. I am having daily bouts of depression when I think about my possible diagnosis. Then I cheer up when I think about how much better it is then cancer. Many people have it much worse than me and I need to focus on celebrating life every day. I'm so thankful for all of you here.
Surgery is definitely rough on the body. Rhonda, I'm glad Jordan is keeping up with his golf. He's doing a great with it!
I'll be working all week.
I'm going to drop off my carcinoid syndrome test this morning at the lab. And then I have a dermatology appt this afternoon.
Tues is PT in the afternoon.
Sat we're going to my brother's for a BBQ and an Avengers party on his new re-finished deck. He loves superhero movies, so he's going to try to get us to watch all the related super hero's movies in his home theater before The Avengers movie comes out next week. Since I've seen them all before, I think we may last for only one.
I survived Prom 2012 and After Glow. Not much sleep but all had a great time and all are safe!
Jordan having a few more bladder issues but will see how this next couple of days goes. He starts Dilantin today for pain as Lyrica and Neurotin did not do much for him. We shall see. He did take first place in "chipping" contest in 7th grade golf and second place in 7th and 8th. Getting ready for tournaments in 2 weeks. He continues to just push through!
Wishing all good health, good days and good news! Have a good week to all! Rhonda
