Weird feeling on left side under ribs

I don't think this is the hug because it  doesn't really hurt.  It just gets really sensative some weeks and when I get in the shower, it feels kinda like a small shock I guess you could say.

I told my nuero about it yesterday and she wrote it down, but didn't say what she thot it was.

Anyone else ever feel this?

It's directly under my ribs on the left side before my hips and wraps around half way to my back.

So glad I have this forum!

Wow, I hope this gets better for you! I thought I was going crazy and I felt as I was beng looked at like a Crazy person at the Dr's office. I was even scared to speak of it. They are correct as this may happen 1 day or everyday. Mine is throughout the day but yes everyday. It started slow all the way to what I stated above. Again Wow. I love this site! Alone is a dark feeling and I don't feel alone anymore...I hope to hear that you feel better soon and I am so happy to feel that I am not alone.  Are you on any medictions? I've been given so many reasons why some are & some not.

The MS hug can include paresthesias around the torso area, but typically it's confined to banding type paresthesias, which means that you're getting a feeling of pressure.  Shocks or sensitivity go into the neuralgia category... but essentially what's going on is some damage to the spine, which causes symptoms a little below the level of the damage.

Actually Kelly, it sounds a lot like the MS hug.  Can't dx from here but any sort of banding sensation like that is indicitive of the the hug.

I found that applying pressure in the area that hurt, even wrapping a ace bandage around it helped. Counter intuitive I know but it worked for me. In reality I think it's the result of small contractions in your rib cage area.
