Hello Ada,
I would have to agree that you should listen to your doctor and stay on leave. I am also sure he has dealt with this kind of situation before.,
Elaine
You guys are so awesome! I am going to look into my rights. and take a magnifying glass to my employee handbook. I would just love to give them an earful! ha ha
Lots of Love
Ada
Honey..whatever you do DON'T GO BACK TO WORK!!! Your dr. says to stay on leave as it is safer...do you think he has ever dealt with a situation like this before??? I would say so!
Like the others said, you need to look into your rights and obligations as an employee before you do ANYTHING!!! If you make a wrong move you are right...you could find yourself out on the street with NO INSURANCE! Not a good thing especially when you are dealing with MS!
Be proactive honey and look after yourself...your employer isn't going to do it!
Lots of Hugs,
Rena
It's funny after I posted I called my personel manager to check in like I always do and he was busy in a meeting but he said everybody misses me and they want me back, I asked him if they had any other jobs I can do, (they know of my disabilities and my abilities) and he said there isn't anything open yet.
My brain is exploding here, I know their rules and know what they do after you go back to work. Being a little paranoid here but they look for any reason to fire you and I am afraid if I do try to go back and they will do just that and I will lost my insurance. My dr says its safer and better to stay on a leave. I do miss my job but I dont miss mgmt!
Loads of Love

Sorry Ada, I forgot to mention that Heather is right and you need to find an attorney.
First though, I would call your senator and tell one of his aides about what your employer is doing to you. They are violating federal laws. They may be able to help you without needing an attorney.
Good Luck,
Elaine
Hello Ada,
Craig has had high beta proteins in his blood for a year now. In his spinal fluid, he has IGM monoclonal antibody.
None of the doctors thought it related to his neurological problems, but also did not have an explanation.
Elaine
I can't answer your question about the protein. However, I, too, am greiving over the life I once had. It helps to have others in the same part of life, dealing with similar issues. I just got approved for long term disability. It took my doctor filling out forms saying that I was unable to do any part of the job that I was doing. I was a retail manager, as well. Let us know if you have any questions or need advice. I agree that the friends on this forum are the best friends we can have.
Just a side note...If you live in Canada your company is also doing something illegal! They have to accomodate your disability OR find a job that pay's equal in the company!
I would imagine they are feeling you out to see how much they can get away with but you need to call your Human Rights' Commission right away and have them send you all the information you need so that you can go back to the company and let them know that they are going to have to stop playing games!
You don't need this when you are feeling crappy but more and more of us are coming to the realization that when we thought our employers were concerned and cared about us we were living in a fog and we need to wake up and smell the coffee!
You ARE a supervisor and they can't take that away from you due to a disability honey!
Good luck and remember that we are here for ya...I can't answer the blood protein question either but someone behind me will I am sure!
Lots of Hugs,
Rena
If you live in the United States, what your employer is doing is ILLEGAL. If they will not accomodate your disability or find another equally paying job within the company, then you have a clear lawsuit on the horizon. They just can't do that.
I am sorry that I cannot answer your question about the "blood protein." I just don't know anything about it.
I will be anxious to hear if other members may be able to comment on that and give you some help.
We are here for you girl...Spazy legs and all.
Heather
